  • What’s the format?

All sessions are done in a group meeting room and you're given assignments to go and do together on your own. This allows you to begin putting the tools into practice and taking steps toward healing the hurts. While the sessions are in a group setting, there is no public disclosure of sensitive matters. You’ll have the option of meeting privately with a marriage coach for assistance with the Saturday evening restoration activity.

  • Does it work?

In traditional weekly marriage counseling, the start-and-stop of hour-long sessions can make it difficult to get to root issues. Our distraction-free weekend offers you the gift of uninterrupted time, which allows you to cover the groundwork of six to nine months of counseling. We’ve helped over 95% of couples in serious distress find healing and hope. In addition, 99% of participants recommend the program to others.

  • What makes Renovation Marriage different?

All of our communication tools, relational assessments, and aftercare coaching are rooted in biblical principles. Our therapists are also grounded in research-based methods. The result is a process that is both clinically sound and theologically solid. Our weekend facilitators are skilled at navigating serious issues. They share personal examples you will relate to and make the content easy to apply.

  • Who should attend?

While anyone can benefit, our weekend Christian retreats are designed especially for couples who want to improve their marriage. We help couples repair their relationships from issues ranging from lack of communication and the stress of raising kids to loss of intimacy and recovery from infidelity. Even spouses who come reluctantly experience breakthroughs on a consistent basis.

  • What’s the schedule?

We begin the workshop at 7:00 PM on Friday and finish around 9:30 PM. On Saturday we’ll start at 9:00 AM and end around 3:30 PM. Then on Saturday evening, couples will work through the restoration project, which typically takes 1-2 hours. On Saturday evening you’ll have the option of meeting privately with a marriage coach or counselor (at no additional cost). On Sunday, the workshop begins again at 9:00 AM and concludes by 2:30 PM.

  • What is the cost of the weekend?

The intensive is $500/couple and includes 9 facilitated sessions and coaching support (meals & lodging not included). Some couples find it helpful to do monthly payments, so we also offer the option to pay $100/month. Financial assistance is also often available when needed. We intentionally keep our rates lower than others to be accessible to everyone.

You’ll be equipped with practical tools and processes that you’ll begin using right away to re-establish your relational connection, address unresolved issues, and cultivate emotional healing. By the end of the weekend, you’ll have a personalized plan for continued long-term relational growth and health.

“Days prior to attending, my wife’s number was blocked in my phone. We were living separate lives. We almost canceled coming to the retreat. I had refused a prior offer to attend. Now I would do anything to have come to this sooner. We were given the tools necessary to rebuild our marriage. Those will be utilized as life continues and as we heal together from the damage. I cannot thank you enough for this opportunity!”

  • "We were in a really bad place in our marriage and seriously considering separation and possibly divorce. After this weekend we were able to heal hurts, reconnect, fix issues, and form a bond closer than we have ever had. I truly believe that we now have the tools to keep our marriage strong and sustained."

    Denise, civil engineer

  • "I was ready for divorce and contacted a lawyer. I was hurt, disappointed, and hopeless about my marriage thinking that there were not solutions for us. After this program, I feel that nothing is impossible with God, and forgiving has made me feel better and free. My faith is stronger than ever. Thank you, Todd and Erin."

    Justin, construction

  • "Thank you so much! You guys were awesome! After I had been crushed by my husband’s affair, we needed tools he would be willing to use. This weekend he said he felt revived and he enjoyed using the communications tools. My highlight was rededicating my marriage to God. I thank God for you all!"

    Carla, musician

  • “We decided to start working on our marriage just last week. We were going to separate, because we didn’t have the tools or guidance on where to start or what to do. This weekend greatly helped with showing us where we needed to improve things and start healing together. We have a better understanding of each other and hope to continue using these tools for a better life together.”

    Gia, customer service agent

  • “Due to work schedule/travel our marriage & relationship became cold and distant with many unsolved issues. But thank God we came to this seminar and God worked a lot in our relationship. The sessions helped to identify and process all the issues in our relationship, to forgive each other, and have a fresh commitment to build a lifelong marriage. Thank you, Todd & Erin, very much for your investment in us.”

    Paul, community advocate

  • “We weren’t able to learn how to communicate with each other before this weekend. Our relationship was a mess. We didn’t know how to talk to each other. It was over before it started. What happened this weekend was amazing. We realized that we didn’t know how to communicate and how to take each other’s feelings into consideration.”
